Africa
Inland Mission

What’s your role in mission?

Hot. Tired. Disorientated. You have a new language to learn, there’s no PG tips and you are given a plate of food but no cutlery. How do you feel on your first day in Africa? Excited? Homesick? A bit of both?

‘Taste it’ is designed to give you an authentic opportunity to explore what being a missionary is really like.

God invites us all to join his mission plan by filling the essential roles of going, giving and praying. Whether you want to be better equipped to pray for missionaries by understanding the challenges they may face or are exploring whether God is calling you to go and serve in Africa, ‘Taste it’ will help you create space to consider what your role might be.

‘Taste it’ is designed to give you an authentic opportunity to explore what being a missionary is really like. Experience language learning, African food and drink (and ways of eating!), and grapple with some of the challenges involved in cross-cultural mission among unreached peoples. And hear how God is working in and through his people to establish his church in Africa, as we step out in faith to play our part.
