Short Term – Teacher

Tirrim Secondary Schools in Korr is located in an outreach area and is in need of teachers to staff their primary and secondary schools.  Both schools are private schools.  No marital status or gender preference.  Basic language learning may be required. The goal of this placement is to reach young people through Education. This will include teaching in relevant subjects and involvement in informal Bible studies with students and ministry in the local church. 

Kenya gained independence from Britain in 1963. Since then British tourism has been a key element of Kenya’s economy, however, unemployment, poverty and crime remain high. Whilst the majority religion is Christianity, Kenya’s ethnic diversity and vast countryside means there are still many unreached with the gospel.

Training & Qualifications:

Required: A Teaching degree

Desired: A degree or college Diploma

Experience: 

Required: Training in Teaching

Desired: Have an adventurous spirit, resilient, able to live simply, can work as part of a team, willing to work under national leadership and strong personal walk with Jesus Christ

A liking for sports
