Short Term – Bible College Lecturer

The goal of this placement is outreach and teaching at Africa Inland Chuch (AIC) Kapsabet Bible College. The major tasks involved include developing relationships among the community with the goal of sharing the gospel. Discipling students and giving them the vision for outreach to unreached people groups, and teaching at Kapsabet Bible College – primary needs are for teachers of English, music, and theology.
Kenya gained independence from Britain in 1963. Since then British tourism has been a key element of Kenya’s economy, however, unemployment, poverty and crime remain high. Whilst the majority religion is Christianity, Kenya’s ethnic diversity and vast countryside means there are still many unreached with the gospel.
Training & Qualifications:
Required: Masters degree if teaching theology, BA if teaching music, English. Degree is minimal requirement to get a work permit in Kenya
Desired: Library Science would also be helpful
Required: Cross-cultural ministry experience
Desired: Two years of work in a cross-cultural setting with exposure to unreached people groups
Able to conform to Africa Inland Church (AIC) Bible school standards and work under national leadership. Self-starter with a servant heart, patient.
