Chad Homeschool/Wellspring Academy Support teacher

29 March 2018

Wellspring Academy provides education for children aged 6 to 14 and support for home-schooled children and their parents in Chad. They are looking for someone to provide home school support for families serving in Chad and manage administrative duties at Wellspring Academy.

Chad became independent from France in 1960. Since then, its politics have been characterised by violence, coups and insurgencies. It is a secular state with freedom of religion. Muslims are dominant in government, trade and the army, although they are only just the majority religion (approx 53%).

This job will be a huge assistance to the Wellspring staff, keeping records updated, ensuring teaching supplies are available, making sure policies are maintained, providing teacher relief and support for the head teacher. It will also provide a great encouragement to missionary families homeschooling their children, through organising home school weeks at Wellspring and visiting and encouraging homeschooling families on site, with the goal of enabling families to go to and stay in the field.
